Adding Almonds To Your Diet Just Got Easier and Cheaper

I everyone! I just found out that Blue Diamond is now selling extra large bags of whole Natural Almonds (unsalted) in Walmart. I am sure you will be able to find them in grocery stores, supermarkets, and other discount chains as well. The bag I bought is a whopping 19.2 oz. and is boasting 20% more free. It cost me about $6 and change - quite a wonderful find. I am a big nut lover and snack on them every day. I tried them today and they are wonderful. I don't recommend you store them in the refrigerator as it makes them too hard which can be tough on your teeth and also takes away from the flavor. The bag has a resealable zipper to help keep freshness in and air out. They are not roasted, but raw, right out of the shell. Great for snacking! They also had roasted and salted ones available, however, I usually shy away from salty foods, but if that's the only way you'll have them, then by all means buy the salted ones. Now for some great facts on why almonds are so good for you and why you should absolutely add them to your diet if you have not already.

1) They are a rich source of vitamin E, calcium, phosphorous, iron and magnesium and they also contains zinc, selenium, copper and niacin and lets not forget that they contain quite a bit of protein as well. Almonds contain more nutrients than any other nut.

2) Eating almonds regularly helps to lower your cholesterol. Not only that, but it affects the ratio of good cholesterol to bad cholesterol by increasing the level of high density lipoproteins (HDL) and reducing the level of low density lipoproteins (LDL). This is what you want!

3) They also help your heart by helping to reduce artery damaging inflammation and plaque.

4) Lastly, they provide your body with bulk fiber which helps to move your food faster through your body; this helps to prevent constipation as well. The mono-unsaturated fat contained in almonds helps to keep you full longer which is wonderful for anyone trying to maintain or lose weight. They also help to keep your insulin levels stable.

So you see why I was so excited and had to tell you all about my great find. Please remember to put almonds on your shopping list and pick up a bag next time you're out. Your body will thank you, and you will really enjoy this crunchy filling snack. Many of my YouTube viewers ask me what I like to snack on to help me stay slim and I always tell them nuts and nut butters. They stay with you and don't weigh you down if you want to exercise shortly after your snack.

Hope you enjoy!

See you on YouTube,

  1. I like eating raw almonds a lot. We always have a bag of unroasted, raw almonds in the house, and when passing through the kitchen, I always grab 3 or 4 of them and eat them like a little squirrel hihi

  2. Hi,

I have been watching your videos for the past month and i found 'em very useful, thanks a lot for sharing such useful tips. I would like to know about rotating shampoos/conditioners. How often should i rotate the shampoos/conditioners? I shampoo my hair twice a week. And i use Garnier Fructis Sleek&Shine Shampoo, Nutrogena Triple Moisture conditioner and Dove Shampoo/Conditioner for Dry/Damaged hair. So if i use Dove this week once, should i use different shampoo/Conditioner, the next time when i wash my hair, or i should i stick with Dove for 2-3 times and then go to another Shampoo/Conditioner. Please Suggest. Then how should i maintain my hair when i don't shampoo, i mean the day when i shampoo/condition my hair it becomes soft, but the next day it starts becoming dry again, what should i do for that, i don't want to apply oil as it gives me a dull look and makes my hair look very thin. Should i use jus the leave-in conditioner/anti breakage serum and brush my hair?
