This Too Shall Pass - Be Ready For Opportunity!

For so many people, this year has proven to be very difficult and challenging. Our hearts are sad and our motivation has suffered a tremendous setback. There is so much negativity, uncertainty, and feelings of hopelessness all around us, and it’s very easy to get swept up into feelings of anger, anxiety, sadness, and depression for these are the feelings that humans experience with loss of freedom, loss of choice, isolation, and fear. The important questions is, what can we do?  Well….believe it or not, the remedy begins within you! That’s where all change begins, for you are the one that has control and influence over your own life. Rather than spending time focusing on the negative situations all around you, shift your focus on what you do have and what you can enjoy right now, in this moment, and build from there. Spend time thinking about the freedoms you experience every day, the people and things in your life that make a difference and really matter to you. Write them down. Make a list and refer to it when thoughts of negativity begin to surface. Start a journey today towards finding your sense of hope and faith again and you will find your inspiration. You may have to dig deep right now to find your strength, but you will find it, of this I am sure, and when you do, grab it and pull it up like a rope from the depths of your soul, then set it free and allow it to blaze a glorious path for your future. Continue to look forward and remind yourself every day that "this too shall pass." Say those words to yourself outlaid, write them down, pin them where you can see them throughout the day. Right now we are in the worst of storms, but we must remember that out of the rubble of disaster often rises the greatest of opportunities. So be ready, because your day is coming and things will be better than they were before. You will be stronger and smarter and more resilient than you were before. Let those words and thoughts be the light that guides you out of the darkness and despair to be restored once again. I believe we are all being tested right now. We are being challenged to recognize what is sacred to us and what we are willing to fight for. Perhaps we needed a reminder of its value, a warning to pay attention so we don’t lose it. Sometimes in life wake-up calls can be loud and shrill and unpleasant, but very very necessary. It’s time to take action in your life, to put plans into effect to protect your future, and it starts right here, right now, with you pledging to yourself that you will no longer dwell in the house of sadness, negativity, despair, and frustration, but instead you will rise up, dust yourself off, and unleash your abounding spirit. Go forth and research, study, learn, understand, and grow. Do what it takes to identify opportunities to make changes, fix problems, and create your new and exciting destiny. ๐Ÿ’–

Happy News and Coronavirus (COVID-19) Tips

We are all struggling at these unprecedented times to manage our fear and protect ourselves and our loved ones from this new coronavirus that is sweeping the globe. However, there comes a time where the pendulum doth swing too far in one direction and the cure becomes more of a risk to the health and welfare of the population than the actual disease, and so we must be careful not to get too carried away. Continue to be vigilant about social distancing and avoiding contact with ill people, especially if you are immune compromised, but also recognize the importance of turning to each other for support and comfort. It's important to remember during these times that the human race is strong and adaptable and that with some simple measures, which I outline in my video, we can protect ourselves and our families from this or any other illness.  In addition to offering you tips on COVID-19, I also share some very happy news about my life that occurred right in the middle of these trying times, and I hope you enjoy hearing about my joyous news, and that it reminds you that below the surface of all the scary headlines, life as we knew it is still alive and just waiting to blossom again. Many people have already reached out to me and told me that this video has helped them tremendously during these times, and I am so grateful for that. Please share this video to help others. We are all looking for order among the chaos, the key is to focus in on the good things in your life, and before you know it, we will all be back to normal again and we will have gained new and important insights and knowledge that will serve us well in the future. We will get through this in time, and until then, stay well, be strong, and reach out if you need support.

True Happiness Comes From Within

If you choose to attach your happiness to someone or something else, especially if you look to social media for acceptance and validation, I guarantee that you will always be chasing it, or unhappy. Your happiness will always be tied to the next thing or partner or "like", and you will be living YOUR life for someone else. YOUR life will depend on being noticed or validated by others, and so your happiness will always be outside of your control. You will be left wanting, waiting, and hoping for it, and even if you received the validation you so desperately deserve because you posted just the right photo to Instagram, or your boss finally gave you a raise, the feelings of acceptance, validation, and happiness, will only be temporary. Unfortunately, you know immediately that your happiness is fleeting because you know you will have to start all over again searching and hoping for something else or someone else to happen, in order to feel happy again. This is because your happiness was never truly yours to begin with. Someone or something had to intervene or occur so you could be happy. If you truly want happiness, the kind that stays with you no matter what happens, that no one can take away, then don't give up power over your own life. Life doesn't wait for you to live it; it moves on and people move on. If you want true happiness, you have to stop searching and start living. Each day is a new opportunity for you to be happy. To live your life, be grateful, and interact with real people. To take action and not stop to take a photo of it. Just live! Live your moments, make your memories, be free! An eagle lives the life of an eagle, not the life of a cat, and it doesn't need validation to soar. Be true to who you are and do what you enjoy, regardless of what others think, or who sees you doing it. Stop placing your joy or your mental health in the hands of others, and always remember that you are the only one that has the power to make you happy.❤️

Forgive And Set Your Heart Free Into 2020

A new and glorious year is upon us and with that is a unique opportunity to make deliberate decisions to help improve our lives going forward. There is an innate catalyst to beginning anew that is ever-present with the turning of the calendar to January 1st each year. As you reflect on this past year, you may find that you are carrying a burden of pain, or a heaviness that may have been caused by another's actions towards you that has weighed on your spirit and kept you from experiencing the highest level of joy in your life. We have all been hurt by others in our lives. Many have had their hearts broken and their trust shattered; others have been bullied or taken advantage of. Unfortunately, these experiences can be very painful and can often change how we feel about ourselves, or even the course of our lives, but we are not hopelessly doomed to carry these wounds and resentments with us forever. We can choose to make a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment and vengeance towards others, regardless of whether they deserve forgiveness or not. When you choose to forgive, it does not mean that you will forget, nor does it mean that you excuse or condone the offense against you. What forgiveness does is it frees you from the corrosive anger and resentment you feel in your heart that weighs down your spirit, joy, self confidence, and sometimes even your health. Choosing to forgive can help you realize that you are not a victim, that you have the power to choose to move on and have peace of mind. Letting go of negative thoughts and feelings can free you and empower you to recognize and validate the pain you suffered, without letting that pain define you, or your life, any longer. And remember, we must also learn to forgive ourselves, and recognize that we are only human and make mistakes. Forgiving ourselves can sometimes be even harder than forgiving someone else. So this New Year 2020, help yourself heal and move on with your life, should you need to, by making the decision to FORGIVE, and go forward into the new year with a peaceful heart and joyous optimism. Wishing you all a very happy and healthy New Year.❤️

Never Give Up Because FAIL Only Means First Attempt In Learning

The end of the year is upon us and that means it's time to reflect. You can start by taking a moment to think back to last New Year's Day 2019. Think honestly about all the things you set out to accomplish during the year, and evaluate how far you've come towards your goals. For many of you this will be an exercise in appreciating your successes or how far you've come towards your goals. For others, it may be about evaluating your failures, where things went wrong, and hopefully, what you learned from them. Those who have experienced failure are just as fortunate as those who have achieved success. In fact, many who have had successes in life will admit that it was their failures that led them to success, because they learned from their failures through the process of refection and trying again, and it is that process that leads to success. The effort that is born out of failure carries with it an increase in the odds of succeeding with future attempts. So just because you failed at something doesn't mean that it is the END. Failure is never the end, it is merely the beginning of the success process. It is an attempt in learning. An attempt to accomplish something that simply resulted in the need for more effort or greater understanding so that you can come back stronger and wiser when you try again. So let's begin our reflection today for the new year is upon us. Let's celebrate our attempts for 2019; then let's make a list of new attempts for 2020!❤️
