The Best Way To Stop Your Feet From Aching

Are aching feet and legs holding you back in life? Do you find yourself having to sit or put your feet up after only a couple of hours of standing or walking? Well, one of the easiest and simplest ways to remedy that problem is to buy better shoes! Shoes that have arch support and heel cushioning, and fit properly. I made a decision about 12 years ago, that I would no longer buy cheap shoes with zero support ever again, no matter how cute or trendy they were, and I stuck to it. I had already done that in my early 20s with my professional shoes, now it was time to do it with my casual shoes as well. Gone were the Uggs, the thin flip flops and sandals, and any sneaker that wasn't cushioned enough. That meant Payless was off my radar for good, and I had to give up my long-standing love affair with Nike! I was sticking to real fabrics and materials, support, and comfort. Yes, that meant paying more for shoes and even switching sneaker brands, but in the long run it was worth every penny and my time because I was comfortable, and my feet felt wonderful. By the way, if your feet feel good, your back feels good too. So if by chance you are having some back issues, you may want to key in to what's going on with your feet and your gait. I pay careful attention to my sneakers now. I buy the best in a brand's line, and as soon as they get too worn on the soles, I buy new ones. I put a lot of miles on my sneakers, and my knees feel it right away when the soles of my sneakers become too worn; I don't even have to look. My rule of thumb has made a world of difference in my life. I can stay on the go for hours and I no longer get foot pain or leg pain. In my latest YouTube video below I feature my favorite go-to brand for comfortable, supportive, and durable shoes, Merrell. I ordered some of their new shoes for spring and did an unboxing video to share with you all. I hope I will inspire you to value and honor your feet and buy comfortable, supportive shoes. I hope you will try Merrell, they are terrific shoes; I tell you all about them in my video.

Rectal Cancer is More Common Than Colon Cancer

Did you know that your risk of developing rectal cancer is four times higher than your risk of getting colon cancer?  Well, based on my research which I share with you in my recent comprehensive education video entitled,  Colon Cancer Screening: What You Need To Know About Colon Health, Colonoscopy, Cologuard | My Experience and Choice there is a gross misclassification going on when it comes to colon cancer deaths and rectal cancer deaths.  Colon cancer and rectal cancer are synonymously being called colorectal cancer.  They used data from the California Cancer Registry on reported death certificates to prove that 82% of rectal cancers were miscoded as colon cancer. Therefore we can extrapolate that since 80% of all colon cancers are in the left side of the colon, or distal colon and sigmoid colon, with higher risk for cancer developing in the rectum, examination of the distal and sigmoid colon, and rectum is of greater benefit in the detection of colorectal cancer. Please see my video below for more information on how to choose a colorectal cancer screening test that's right for you.

Why You Should Choose Cologuard Colorectal Cancer Screening Test

Learn about my experience with Cologuard Colorectal Cancer Screening test in my latest YouTube video below. I did some extensive research into the available recommended screening methods for detecting colon cancer after my doctor recommended I get a colonoscopy to screen for colon cancer. As many of you may know, if you are age 50 and over or age 45 and over and African American, your doctor will recommend that you be screened for colon cancer, and they almost always recommend you get a colonoscopy. However, based I my research, I learned that a colonoscopy is a highly invasive test that carries significant risks to your health, and many people feel uncomfortable having such an invasive test as a screening test. Unfortunately, because of that, many people simply don't get screened. Learn about colonoscopy and its risks and side effects in my video entitled:  Colonoscopy: What You Need To Know, Risks and Side Effects. You should know that if you don't feel uncomfortable having a colonoscopy, you have other effective alternatives to choose from and one of them is Cologuard. Cologuard is the latest FDA approved technology available in noninvasive screening tests. It's an at-home DNA stool test that you can do right in the privacy of your own home that screens your entire colon and rectum for colon cancer and precancerous polyps. Based on my research, which I share in my video below, I decided it was the best choice for me, and it may be for you too. It's very easy to use, highly accurate, and uses the latest in DNA technology to screen your stool for colon cancer and precancerous growths. Learn all about it, why I chose it, and my experience with it in my video below. You can learn more about the colon, colon cancer and all the available screening choices by watching my in-depth, comprehensive video entitled: Colon Cancer Screening: What You Need To Know About Colon Health, Colonoscopy, Cologuard | My Experience and Choice. I hope you find my below video on Cologuard helpful in your decision-making process of choosing the right colon cancer screening test for you. Please share this video with others to help spread awareness.

March Is Colon Cancer Awareness Month

In honor of colon cancer awareness month, I created an in-depth comprehensive YouTube video to help spread awareness about the importance of taking care of your colon and getting screened for colon cancer. My video is based on my own personal experience as well as extensive research I did into the subject of colon health, polyps, colon cancer, prevention, and getting screened. It's a video that everyone should watch, not just those in the over 45 years of age group who are being recommended to get screened for colon cancer, because colon cancer is now on the rise in young adults. Having knowledge about this area of the human body is critically important if you want to have a healthy life. I hope you will watch this entire video and share it with others to help spread awareness, because if colon cancer is caught early, the five-year survival rate is 90%. Learn what you need to know to help prevent colon cancer.

What You Need To Know Before You Have A Colonoscopy

Before you have a colonoscopy to screen for colon cancer, please watch my latest video below. It's an except from a comprehensive in-depth video I recently posted to my YouTube Chanel about Gut Health, Colon Cancer Screening Tests, including Colonoscopy and Cologuard, And My Choice For Getting Screened. The topic of the video below is the segment from that video on colonoscopy. I take an in-depth look at colonoscopy, how this procedure is performed, as well as discuss the risks, side effects, and complications of this screening test that you should be aware of before you undergo it. It is not a simple screening test. It is an invasive procedure that requires sedation and the emptying out of your entire digestive tract, which you will learn is not conducive to good health. I hope you will watch this video below as well as my full-length, in-depth video which is linked at the end of the colonoscopy video.

Skills To Teach Your Child To Increase Their Chances Of Success In Life

Looking back over the years of raising my children, I found that there are certain skills that you can teach your children when they are young that will increase their chances of being successful in life. I don't mean just momentarily successful, I mean being the best version of themselves. It starts the moment your baby is old enough to engage in any activity. I offer you my helpful parenting tips to help encourage you to take an active roll in teaching your children the skills they will not learn any place else except from their loved ones. They will be able to take those skills with them to school, and through life. They will have the confidence and skills to be able to function at a higher level of mindfulness and awareness. I have raised two successful and happy children and I am very proud of that. They are good and kind people, and they are independent and ambitious. I believe it takes a lot of love, support, and understanding to raise successful and happy human beings. It is one of the most important jobs a parent can have. I share my parenting tips with you in my video below, and I hope you will find it meaningful and helpful for you.
