Post to YouTips4U Community - FRIDAY JANUARY 11, 2019

Happy Friday! I’m checking in to see how you did with your goals this week! Remember our plan from Monday? We were going to make a list of things we wanted to accomplish this week and then check back in today to see how we did. I’ll share with you how I did this week and you can let me know below in the comments how you did! I hope I was able to help you stay motivated.

I am very pleased with my accomplishments this week. I got almost all my goals completed except for one; I wanted to highlight my hair! Each day something came up preventing me from having the chunk of time needed to do it, so I had to keep putting it off. I hope to do it later today, and then I can celebrate my successes for the week!

Remember....Friday is not over yet! So if there was something on your list that you wanted to do this week, but haven’t gotten around to doing it, it’s not too late! There is still time, so get moving! Wishing you a wonderful weekend!😃

Barre Arm Workout For Lean, Defined, Sculpted Arms

Transform your arms with my easy-to-follow, high intensity barre arm workout video below. It's perfect for all ages and levels of experience. The exercises I show you in this video will tone, define, sculpt and slim your arms fast.  Like barre class, this targeted and energizing arm workout utilizes light weights and higher repetitions to focus specifically on toning, defining, and sculpting your arms. You will see results fast! I often get asked what I do to have lean, toned, defined arms, and I have to say that doing this barre exercise routine regularly is what helps me maintain my attractive arms.

Unfortunately, as we age, we often lose muscle tone and strength and the skin around our biceps and triceps can begin to sag causing what's referred to as "bat wings", but do not be discouraged if you are in that current condition because muscles have amazing response sensitivity to stimulus when challenged to do more and you would be surprised at how fast this workout will tone and define your arms.  You can do these exercises with weights or without weights; you will get the benefits either way, so it's up to you how much resistance you would like to add. If you do use weights, I recommend using 1,2,3,4, or 5 lb. dumbbells, or even water bottles if you don't have any weights. I usually use 1-3 pounds, not more than that if I want to make it through the entire workout! So start your year off by working out with me to my barre arms video for lean, toned, sculpted arms fast, and remember to subscribe to my channel because I have a lot more to come to help keep you inspired and motivated throughout the new year!

Happy New Year!

Bring on 2019 - Optimize the January Effect

On your mark everyone! It's almost time to step into a new and wonderful year! I'd like something that I do every year to help jump start my new year and achieve my goals using the momentum of the "January effect".The January effect is a common phenomenon in the financial markets whereby a seasonal increase in stock prices occurs during the month of January. It's an optimistic and euphoric time marked by large increases in stock buying as new capital is optimistically invested by people looking forward to a good and prosperous year. This powerful, joyous contagion seems to be everywhere in January; in the media, the gym, businesses and relationships, and it can help you in your goal setting and achieving!

To take advantage of this effect, each new year's eve I like to spend a little time reflecting on the past year; giving thanks for all that I am grateful for, and all that I have learned, experienced, and accomplished in 2018.

Next, I make a list of things that I would like to accomplish in the new year. In addition to writing them down, which can serve as an excellent reminder for you, it can be very beneficial to visualize yourself doing and/or accomplishing each goal. Spend some time today and tomorrow reflecting and setting your goals. Write them down so you can refer to them often. Be sure to include some smaller goals on your way to each big goal so you can celebrate your progress. Then spring into action and use the momentum of the January effect to help you make it happen! Bring on 2019!

Happy New Year Everyone!
Love, Linda

Best Beauty Products of 2018

Every year at this time, I share my Best Beauty Products of the Year video on YouTube. It features my top beauty product picks for the year. Each year I have a different mix of goodies to share with you and this year is no different, although I do have less products to share this year than prior years. Unfortunately, quite a few of the products I tried this year, I would not recommend, like the liquid glitter eye shadow that made my eyelids red and puffy. Or several of the waterproof eyeliners that made me feel like I had tape on my eyelids, or even the two eyeshadow palettes I tried based on recommendations from beauty gurus that I found to have no spreadability and not enough pigment. Nevertheless, I have some winners for you! Products I tried and loved and will be continuing to use into the new year and beyond. Please watch my video below and share it to help others discover new and wonderful products. If you missed any of my prior years' best beauty products videos, please go to my channel (link is over to the right of my blog) and watch those videos too. I share so many great products that I don't want you to miss out on!

The Best Home Remedies and Natural Cures for Coughs, Colds, Flu, and Stomach Viruses

Cold and flu season is upon us. There is so much that you can do to help yourself heal faster and shorten the duration of your cold or flu. It's a time to respect the needs of your body to heal and work in harmony with your body's immune system to help you get well quicker.  We all get exposed to bacteria and viruses every single day. Thankfully, we have a powerful defense mechanism that fights these battles for us constantly in order to maintain our health and survival and it's called our immunity. It's important to remember that when you get sick, it's likely that your body was already under a physical, emotional, or chemical stress, and so it's ability to fight off this new invader was not as affective as it could have been, and so you get sick.  But there are degrees of sick. Two people may get the same virus and one person is flat on their back in bed for several days, while the other person is able to maintain activity.  The difference between these two people has very much to do with how healthy their immune system is. The important thing to remember is that you need to help your body heal, and that means you take the proper action or inaction to assist in the healing process.  In my recent YouTube video below, I share with you the absolute best home remedies and natural cures for coughs, colds, flu, sinus infections, congestion, and stomach viruses.  These are time-tested, mother-approved remedies that I have used to heal myself and my family for years, so I can promise you, they work, and they work in harmony with your body's own unique immune system. I think we all know now that taking antibiotics for a virus is useless and can be harmful to your beneficial bacteria, which can lead to further illness down the road, yet I still talk to people who are being prescribed antibiotics for a cold.  The latest reason I heard was from a friend who had a run-of-the-mill head cold. He went to the doctor because he thought that was the quicker path to getting better. He said his doctor drew blood and the bloodwork showed slightly elevated white blood cells so the doctor prescribed antibiotics. Well I'm no medical professional, but isn't that normal? Doesn't your body produce more white blood cells when you're ill to help you fight infection? Isn't that what fever is for? Nevertheless, my friend took the medication because he was uncomfortable going against his doctor's recommendation, and he thought he would get better faster. And guess what, it didn't help. It didn't help because the illness was viral and had to run its course. Unfortunately, his seemingly run-of-the-mill head cold dragged on for months, and I have to wonder whether that may have been because his good bacteria was compromised by the antibiotics, and so he was unable to put up as good a fight with his immunity as he could have. I hope you will watch my video below to learn of some of the best natural ways to help relieve symptoms and cure a cold and flu. You will learn some excellent home remedies that have been around for centuries. They will help you get well faster, relieve symptoms, and shorten the duration of your cold or flu, and I just may be able to help you realize that the best way to heal quickly is the old-fashioned way, with plenty of rest, fluids, chicken soup, and time.  You owe it to yourself to take care of yourself because your health is your most precious asset you have. I hope you enjoy the video, and find it helpful for you this cold and flu season. Stay well❤️

10 Life Lessons I Learned In The Last 10 Years

I celebrated 10 years on YouTube this past Saturday, November 8, 2018 by creating a special video to share insightful life lessons that I learned in the last 10 years. My channel is one of the few channels not trying to sell you something with my message, or put out content just to get views, nor is my community inflated with marketing bots posing as viewers, which means you can trust that I sincerely have your best interests in mind whenever I present a video for you to watch. The sole purpose of my message is to help and inspire you to lead a better quality life with inspirational and motivational tips and tricks on health, beauty, fitness, lifestyle and so much more that have worked for me. There have been so many things that I have learned over these past 10 years about life, love, beauty, relationships, and so much more, but several lessons stood out to me as very important; things I think others will benefit greatly from knowing.  I decided I would share them in my video below, and I hope you will celebrate my anniversary with me by watching it.  I hope I can inspire you to reflect on the past 10 years of your life, and even write them down. It's a wonderful exercise that can lead to a higher level of awareness. I also think it's so important to share our wisdom that we gain by living and experiencing life because we can all learn so much from each other; more than any school or class could ever teach.  In our society, sharing life experience can be a challenge as extended families are often separated as each person seeks to fulfill his or her own destiny independently. However, in many other cultures, a unified extended family is a powerful source of energy and education for the younger generations. Life experience is gained by living, experiencing, and reflecting and is a priceless asset to be cherished and shared. Fortunately, with the rise of the internet and the ability to connect with so many more people than ever before, we have the unique opportunity to learn more from eachother than ever before. Use it to your advantage to enhance your growth as a person, parent, and friend, and to help others. I hope you love my video and share it, and that you will continue to enjoy the gift I love to give most, my heart. A warm, heartfelt thank you to all who have watched and supported me and my YouTube channel over the years. I sincerely appreciate all your love, encouragement, and support. I am very grateful for all of you, and I have so much more to share.❤️
