WARNING: Recalled Fire Extinguishers

If you have a fire extinguisher made by Kidde that has a manufacturing date on it of 1991-2000, please note that it has been recalled. It has a faulty valve and nozzle and it is subject to exploding. Please call the company right away to see about disposing of it. The phone number should be on the label. Take every precaution when handling it. If you do not feel comfortable going near it, call your fire department. I was not aware of this recall and never even knew these things get recalled! My fire extinguisher exploded and devastated an entire floor in my home. Thank god, no one in my family was near it when this thing gave way. Unfortunately, I did get exposure to the chemical powder and am dealing with lung issues. However, it could have been fatal for me had I been near the extinguisher when that nozzle discharged at a 100 lbs of pressure. Please call the manufacturer immediately and check if your fire extinguisher has been recalled. The company will send you an equivalent replacement. Please watch my video above to learn some really important tips about having a fire extinguisher in your home. These are things everyone should know that I found out the hard way. I want to help you know these things so you don't ever have to find out the hard way like I did.
